Keep passwords private and secure. Use a password manager whenever possible and avoid writing them down.
Create complex passwords that are difficult to guess. Password generator tools can help.
Regular updates reduce the risk of unauthorized access over time.
Always enter your financial institution’s website manually. Avoid using search engines or unfamiliar links.
Add an extra layer of protection beyond your password, such as biometrics or verification codes.
Enable features like screen locks, biometric login, and encryption on your devices.
Shred sensitive documents and avoid using unsecured public Wi-Fi. Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use.
Fraud tactics evolve. Stay current using trusted resources like the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
Use official app stores such as Apple App Store or Google Play, never download from email links.
Enable alerts for login attempts, transfers, or withdrawals to stay aware of account activity.
