How to prepare

Update your contact information

To make your transition to the new digital banking platform as smooth as possible, please ensure your contact information is up to date. When you log in to online banking for the first time, you’ll be required to verify your account using a one-time passcode sent to either the mobile number or email we have on file.

To update your information, here's what you’ll need to do:

  1. Login to your Outlook account through online banking
  2. On the left-hand menu of your main page select Profile and Preferences
  3. Select Change Contact Information
  4. Complete required fields and click Continue
  5. Click Submit to finalize the process

Once you onboard to the new digital banking platform, you will need to set up your Interac e‑Transfer profile. This includes adding contacts and setting up autodeposit, as this information will not transfer over from the current platform. We recommend taking a screenshot or documenting your e-Transfer contacts to help when adding these back in post transition.

Make sure to complete any e-Transfer well in advance. Reminder, send money is unavailable beginning Wednesday, August 19 and receive/autodeposit is unavailable beginning Thursday, August 20.

Ensure any of your sent e-Transfers are accepted prior to August 21, otherwise they may be cancelled and credited back to your account.

You will need to document any account numbers used for intermember transfer as these account numbers will not be carried over to the new platform.

As an enhanced security measure, our digital banking suite has one-time passcodes (OTP) enabled on various transaction requests and events. OTPs are automatically generated and sent to the email or mobile number on file, and ask for the passcode before processing the transaction.

Here are the basic facts you need to know:

  • You decide whether to receive the OTPs by email or text
  • OTPs expire 10 minutes after they're sent, after which you need to request a new one
  • Entering an OTP incorrectly 5 times will lock you out of the app and you’ll need to contact us during regular business hours us to unlock your account

Transactions and events that will trigger OTPs

  • Onboarding
  • Adding an e-Transfer recipient
  • Managing an e-Transfer profile
  • Setting up Autodeposits
  • Adding a payee
  • Intermember transfers
  • Fulfilling a Request for Money
  • Updating your contact information
  • Changing your password
  • Resetting your password

Keeping your financial outlook bright.

We're updating and improving our digital banking tools so you can bank with greater ease and confidence.
